We are agricultural contractors specialising in silage making, hay baling, cartage and aggregate supply working in Southland and West Otago
Southland and West Otago agricultural contractor Peter Corcoran Contracting Limited had its beginnings as GA and MJ Mills, a company started in the mid-eighties by Gerard and Jane Mills. When Gerard unexpectedly passed away their nephew Peter Corcoran stepped in to take over a manager role to help out. In 2001 Peter bought the company and renamed it Peter Corcoran Contracting Limited.Peter also runs a 140ha sheep farm at Waikaka with 2100 stock units giving him a good understanding of customers' needs. The business has had steady growth, doubling in size during 2007-2012 fuelled by a mix of acquisitions and the boom of the dairy industry, which has driven need for supplementary feed. Based at Maitland, Peter Corcoran Contracting Limited focuses on harvesting silage from standing to stacked for local farmers and works approximately within a 50 kilometre radius. The business has a yard, workshop and shed at its company headquarters as well as it's own quarry to supply metal for farm race work etc. Peter Corcoran Contracting Limited is a member of Rural Contractors New Zealand.
